Biography

Joe Fletcher is a specialist in survey research and survey data analysis. As such, he provides a full range of services for clients in both the public and private sectors. He has designed and carried out surveys of the general population at large as well as of specific groups.

Working in association with R.A.L. Consulting Limited, he has conducted studies for the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades (IUPAT), the Municipal Electric Association, and the Ontario Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing. In addition, he has conducted custom surveys for the Ombudsman of Ontario, the Council of Ontario Universities, and the Ontario Council of Graduate Schools. Moreover, he has analyzed and reported upon surveys for:

As a professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Toronto, Joe Fletcher teaches introductory and advanced courses in survey design and analysis. Among his former students are leading social researchers at prominent polling firms such as Pollara and Strategic Counsel. As part of his professional research, Joe Fletcher has carried out a range of academic surveys in Canada, Australia and Asia. Based upon these, he has published extensively on a wide range of substantive topics as well as on the methodology of survey research.
